Thundering Trails is a camp that brings the joy off riding off-road to disadvantaged youths in 4th-6th Grades. The camp is a 3 day and 2 night sleep-away camp that provides kids with the opportunity to ride minibikes at the camp’s 50 acres. Camp activities include mini bike riding, hay ride, hiking, treasure hunt, games, chapel service and lots of good home-cooking! The campers spend a good chunk of everyday riding the mini bikes, while the adults and Staff members ride alongside on quads.
Thundering Trails hosts camps once a month for both boys and girls (on alternate months) during the Fall, Winter, and Spring months. The camp is free for the kids to attend thanks to the generous donations of others. Many of the kids who have attended the camp come back to volunteer as a member of the “Teen Staff”, who work closely mentoring the campers.
